Stars of this year’s festival: Akira Yamaoka, Brian Azzarello, Eduardo Risso and Simon Bisley.

The 22nd International Festival of Comics and Games will host the winners of the Eisner Award (the most important prize in the comics world): Argentinean artist Eduardo Risso (100 Bullets, Batman, Spider-Man, Chicanos, Vampire Boy) and American writer Brian Azzarello (100 Bullets, Hellblazer, Batman, Loveless, Banner) and Simon Bisley, British author of famous comics (Lobo, Slaine, Batman, Hulk), illustrator and designer of heavymetal bands’ album covers.

The festival will also host a special guest – Akira Yamaoka from Japan, composer of music for video games and movies, known mainly for his music for Silent Hill (game and movie). Akira Yamaoka will perform at the festival’s gala (Oct 1, 2011) together with the Cool Kids of Death.

There will also be numerous other guests from Poland and abroad. Grzegorz Rosiński will fly straight from Switzerland. The festival’s public will also have a chance to meet Askold Akishin and Mischa Zaslavski – authors of a comics adaptation of the famous novel The Master and Margarita and of course numerous comics artists from Poland.
