MAREK TUREK born in 1970, lives and works in Gliwice. A factory worker by day, a comic book creator after hours. In the 1990s, he published in most Polish zines and comics magazines. At the turn of the century, initially independently, then in cooperation with subsequent publishers, he began to publish longer forms. Participant of many collective and individual exhibitions, occasionally writes about comics and actively participates in convention activities. Winner of several industry awards, he occasionally appears in domestic and foreign comic anthologies.
Important publications: “Międzyczas” (published by Timof), “Bajabongo“, “NeST“, “Bellmer, niebiografia” (published by Kultura Gniewu), “Mr. Silence” (Wydawnictwo Komiksowe). Since 2018, he has been co-creating Wydział 7 series.
