ROMAN WEINFELD – graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics at Warsaw University, doctor of technical sciences in computer science and algorithmics, worked at the Polish Academy of Sciences. Since 1991 he has been involved in the capital market, for more than a dozen years he was head of the IT department of the largest Polish brokerage house. In 2012 he was awarded the Golden Cross of Merit. Currently retired.
Son of Stefan Weinfeld, science-fiction writer, science popularizer and comic book writer (including Figures of Tilos, Black Rose, Hernán Cortés and the Conquest of Mexico). Dad’s rich output and passionate biography is recalled in the book Stefan Weinfeld: the man with a hundred faces, which is about to premiere at the 35th MFKiG.
