We present the up-to-date lineup of the international guests at the International Festival of Comics and Games in Lodz.
For the first time we will have pleasure to host Jean van Hamme – Belgian comics and film writer, author of the series such as Thorgal, XIII and Largo Winch. Regis Loisel – drawer of the series The Quest for the Time-bird and Peter Pan also confirmed his arrival, as did Andreas Martens, creator of comics such as Rork, Capricorn, Arq and Cromwell Stone.
We will also welcome a Scottish writer Alan Grant, author of superhero series Judge Dredd and Batman and also – 2000 A.D. and Arie Kaplan, American writer, drawer, game designer, author of From Krakow to Krypton: The history of Jews in Comics. We will be re-visited by two Polish artists living in Belgium: Zbigniew “Kas” Kasprzak and Grażyna “Graza” Fołtyn-Kasprzak. Kas drew comics albums such as Yans, Halloween Blues and Shooting Star Marylin Monroe; Graza is a recognized comics colorist. Also, Oystein Runde and Ida Neverdahl, Norwegian comics artists, will present their comics album Moscow that will come out in Poland in October.
Grzegorz Rosiński, Polish author of Thorgal, Chninkel and many other comics series will also join the festival.
The latest confirmed guest is Ramon Perez, creator of a comics adaptation of Jim Henson’s screenplay Tale of Sand and also Laurent Gomez, aka Salagir, creator of succesful comics websites such as Dragon Ball Multiverse and amilova.com.
