The Sophie Castille Translation Award

The Sophie Castille Award for Comics Translation is an international initiative whose aim is to highlight the key role of translators in popularising comics from around the world on local markets. It was established by VIP Brands Ltd. and the COMICA and LICAF festivals. Awards are currently presented for translations into Polish, English, Italian, Spanish/Catalan, Slovenian and Greek.

The competition is open to comics published between 1 August 2025 and 30 June 2026. The submission deadline is 19 July 2026. Entries should be submitted via the form:

Regulamin Nagrody translatorskiej im. Sophie Castille 2026

The winner of the award will receive a financial prize of PLN 4,000 and the Sophie Castille statuette.
