International short comic story competition 2019!
We are announcing the call for submissions for the next edition of the international short comic story competition! The deadline for submitting works is July 31, 2019. For more details on the competition, including the rules and the application form go to the Competitions tab.
Among the winners in previous editions of the Festival competition are both professional and debuting artists and writers. Thanks to this, the competition is not only greatly popular, but also holds a high artistic level. The jury, consisting of experts and creators associated with comic book art each year awards the following prizes:
- Grand Prix – 7 000 PLN
- 1st place – 4 500 PLN
- 2nd place – 3 500 PLN
- 3rd place – 2 000 PLN
- Honorary mentions (3) – 1 000 PLN
The awarded works will be included in the catalog collecting the most interesting competition entries, and all works submitted to the competition will be presented at the exhibition accompanying the 30th International Festival of Comics and Games in Łódź (27-29 September 2019). Last year’s edition gathered 157 submissions from 21 countries all across the globe.
