Polish artists at Comicon Bergamo!
A group of Polish comic, animation and literature creators will take part in this year’s Comicon Bergamo.
During the last weekend of June, a group of Polish comic, animation and literature creators will take part in the fourth edition of Comicon Bergamo. Announcing the Polish line-up, the organisers of the Italian festival describe them as “some of the most interesting voices in contemporary European comics and illustration”.
Eleven artists from Poland will travel to Bergamo to join meetings, panels, signing sessions and special events.
The festival guests will include Bartosz Sztybor, known for his work on the worlds of “Cyberpunk 2077” and “The Witcher”; Kasia Nie, an illustrator who has worked with Marvel; Jaga Moder and Przemek Truściński, the writer and illustrator behind the urban fantasy novel “Judgement Day”; as well as Marcin Podolec and Krzysztof Ostrowski, acclaimed contemporary artists and animators. This group’s visit is organised by the “Contur” Association of Creators in cooperation with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute.
Thanks to BWA Jelenia Góra and funding from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Kasia Babis, Nikola Kucharska, Ernesto Gonzales and Krzysztof Gawronkiewicz will also travel to Bergamo. The gallery from Jelenia Góra is also preparing an exhibition of Polish comics, which will be presented to Comicon visitors. Illustrator Basia Majkowska will appear in Bergamo thanks to the Polish Book Institute.
Comicon Bergamo takes place on 26–28 June 2026.
The poster was created by Kasia Nie.
