This year’s news

This year’s festival, just like in 2 previous years, will take place in the Atlas Arena. The main events of the festival are always the visits of the international artists and the ESL Polish Championship in computer games.

Fans of American comics will have a chance to meet Tom Grindberg, creator of superhero comics, with titles such as Batman, Superman, Spider Man and Daredevil. Simon Bisley will also be one of the guests, British author of famous comics (Lobo, Slaine, Batman, Hulk), together with Alan Grant, Scottish writer, author of Lobo, Judge Dredd and Batman. Grzegorz Rosiński will also come, for the premiere of the monumental monography, created by Patrick Gaumer and Piotr Rosiński. Both of them will also be present at the festival. Another guest will be Peter Snejbjerg, Danish author working for DC Comics and Vertigo, one of the artists working on Preacher and Hellblazer. There will also be Joana Afonso from Portugal, Australian Simon Hanselmann, Marvel’s C.B. Cebulski: vice president – international Business development and Marco Rizzo and Lelio Bonaccorsa, authors of the Jan Karski comics. Polish authors will also be present: Bogusław Polch, Andrzej Sapkowski, Andrzej Nowakowski, Michał Śledziński, Krzysztof Gawronkiewicz and Grzegorz Janusz, Tomasz Samojlik, Janusz Pawlak, Łukasz Kowalczuk, Jacek Świdziński and many more.

One of the main atttractions will be the pre-premiere screaning of the first episode of Tymek i Mistrz, animated series, with Tomasz Leśniak, Rafal Skarżycki and the Human Ark studio. Egmont Poland prepared new comics albums for children, as the result of their Janusz Christa competition.

The programme will also feature dedications, workshops, discussion panels, competitions, live drawing shows, the sci-fi zone, Manga Corner, Star Wars zone, kids zone and the commercial area. The computer games area will feature the finals of the ESL Polish championship in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and League of Legends; the console games zone, board games and the discussion panels on games with researchers and creators.
